Speak the word only

The level of your faith determines the level of your rising. There are many things that God wants to achieve in our lives but many Christians are yet to comprehend God and His wonders.

The centurion in Matthew 8:5-13 came to the Lord Jesus beseeching him to come and heal his servant. We find in this Roman soldier humility and care for a dying servant. His approach was so mind blowing and encouraging that our Lord Jesus said I have not seen a great faith in Israel. A gentile soldier who said – Lord, I am not worthy that thou shouldest come under my roof: but speak the word only, and my servant shall be healed.

He got healing that he besought the Lord Jesus for. You can get whatsoever you ask for from the Lord Jesus if you direct your faith believing the Lord Jesus. The size of your problem does not matter, the Lord is greater than all your problems. The centurion did not expect a physical presence, touch, oil, handkerchief, etc that many rely on today.

Believe in the Lord Jesus today and you will be saved.

Numbering your days

The days we spend in this world are very important. They are so important that people like Moses prayed to God in Psalms 90 verse 12.

So teach us to number our days, that we may apply our hearts unto wisdom.

Without understanding and wisdom, it is so easy to forget ourselves and become complacent and live sloppily. God wants us to live fulfilling lives devoid of sin, disappointments, frustrations on a day by day basis. God is not asking us to number our wealth, position or title but how we walk day by day.

The father of Faith Abraham faced so many challenges in his life, surprisingly anytime he is off the radar doing his own thing and out of God’s will, heaven goes into silence until he finds his bearing and communication is restored again and it appears the time of his meaningful life his restarted again and God’s promise is restored on Abraham’s life.

Redeeming the time…

So what do we do to ensure we live a meaningful life – staying at the centre of God’s will? Apostle Paul writing to the Ephesian church has this to say in Ephesian 5

15 Pay careful attention, then, to how you walk, not as unwise but as wise, 16redeeming the time, because the days are evil. 17Therefore do not be foolish, but understand what the Lord’s will is.

Our careful attention is required going forward. The aim is to ensure, we are walking in the will of God all the time.

Victories are set for those who walk in steps with God every day. It will make the difference between Cain and Abel, it will put David ahead of Saul in royalty. Advance Joseph to the top among his brethren.

The difference will always be clear for those who pay attention to what they do day by day. Sin is a short circuit to the days of many people. It leads to days that amount to years spent in vanity without any achievement.

Thank God, we have an anchor in God spoken through prophet Joel in Joel 2:25

25 And I will restore to you the years that the locust hath eaten, the cankerworm, and the caterpiller, and the palmerworm, my great army which I sent among you.

God wants to bring restoration to the lost years. But you need to come to Him today to get those years back. Jesus Christ our Lord said – 28 “Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. Rest is promised for everyone who make the choice to come to Jesus. Come right now. You can say a quick prayer where you are right now and say – Lord Jesus, I am sorry and accept that I am a sinner. I am sorry for all the sins I have committed, I believe in the finished work that Christ has done for me. I promise to live for Christ going forward and throughout the rest of my life.

Congratulations and welcome to a new life.

God’s Has only one purpose

The purpose of God is unique and well defined.

If you look from Genesis to Revelation, God’s purpose is well spelt out.

It is not a variety of things, it is a well defined and comprehensive one – Christ.  Jesus Christ the purpose of God.  It started with Christ and will end with Him.

In Him (Christ) were all things created, in the heavens and upon the earth, things visible and things invisible…

The age of the church is to establish and maintain that purpose – creating a people like Christ.  God’s desire is that we have a people growing up to the full stature of the measure of Christ.

So winning the lost and preserving the faith of those who are saved are all engineered towards this purpose.

I pray that the eyes of your understanding will be opened to see this purpose and tie in to the fulfillment of this in your life and family.
